Don´t touch/Nedotýkajte sa, prosím 2005-2009

Projekt je prezentáciou mladej slovenskej autorky spájajúcej vo svojej tvorbe prostriedky maliarskeho videnia a fotografickej vizualizácie. Autorkino vzdelanie (maliarske a fotografické) a záujem o presahy maľby a farebnej digitálnej fotografie, jej tvorbu radia na hranicu do priestoru medzi spomínané dve médiá. Nosnými témami predstavovanej tvorby sú človek a miesto, cez zobrazenie ľudského tela sa pozornosť obracia k rešpektu pred samotnou existenciou. Miesta a krajina sú východiskom pre montované zábery plné poeticko-snových momentov, nezvyčajné pohľady takto stvorené odhaľujú tajomstvá, o ktorých sme predtým ani netušili. Autorka, v intenciách dnešnej doby, odkrýva a obnažuje, cez médium fotografie, ľahko dešifrovateľné odkazy. Vyhľadáva nové spodobenia pre lepšie uvedomenie si toho, že existuje nepredstaviteľné. Fotografie Moniky Hurňanskej vznikajú ako živé fotografie, realizované ako priame zábery, následne, podľa potreby autorského videnia, manipulované počítačovou technikou. Mnohokrát sa jedná o fotografie fotografií doplnené o potrebné detaily.

Rozsiahly je cyklus krajín a obyčajných záberov zákutí, či miest Nedotýkajte sa obrazov, prosím, 2005–09. Poetický vizualizmus prezentuje stretnutia s domovom a citlivé sledovanie sveta. Ruka, zasahujúca do fotografií sa im prispôsobuje a podľahne. Ruka odfotografovaná na fotografii vnáša do snímku novú kvalitu, pohráva sa s obsahom a jemne ho posúva a mení. Autorka digitálnym zásahom dosahuje novú vizualizáciu (v zmysle zviditeľnenia), ktorá známe veci predstavuje v nových súvislostiach a spojením so senzitívnou manipuláciou vytvára diela s výrazovými prvkami senzuálnej kvality.

/The project presents a young Slovak artist who, in her work, blends the elements of a painterly vision with photographic visualization. The artist's background in both painting and photography, along with her interest in the intersections of painting and digital color photography, places her work on the boundary between these two media. The core themes of the presented work are the human being and place; through the depiction of the human body, attention is drawn to a fundamental respect for existence itself. Places and landscapes serve as the starting point for composite shots filled with poetic and dreamlike moments. These uniquely crafted perspectives reveal secrets we previously never sensed. In line with the spirit of the modern era, the artist uses the medium of photography to uncover and expose easily decipherable messages. She seeks new forms of representation to foster a deeper awareness of the existence of the unimaginable. Monika Hurňanská's photographs originate as "live" shots, captured directly and subsequently manipulated using digital techniques to fulfill her artistic vision. Often, these are photographs of photographs, supplemented with necessary details.

A significant part of her work is the extensive cycle of landscapes and mundane corners titled Please Do Not Touch the Images (2005–09). This poetic visualism presents encounters with home and a sensitive observation of the world. A hand reaching into the photographs adapts and yields to them; photographed within the image, the hand introduces a new quality, playing with the content while gently shifting and transforming it. Through digital intervention, the artist achieves a new visualization (in the sense of making the invisible visible) that presents familiar objects in new contexts. Combined with sensitive manipulation, she creates works characterized by expressive elements of a sensual quality.
